Basically, I have been harassed, stalked, threatened, had fake ads posted using my phone number, etc. Here is a link to the hidden forum. https://forums.craigslist.org/?forumID=7768 I want to do something about this, not just for myself, but to prevent this from happening to other innocent people. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I want people to know what is going on behind the scenes at Craigslist (CL) namely forums, and especially hidden forums. This started when an ad for my snow plow business kept getting deleted. I went to the flagging help forum and was immediately called names, sworn at, accused of all kinds of things. I fought back. I did get some good advice which I followed. My ad just kept getting deleted. These discussions and ad postings were over a 3 month period beginning last Nov. At some point someone posted a link to a hidden forum into one of the public forums and told me I should take a look at what's being said about me, so I did. One thing you can count on me is my honesty. So, having said that, I want you to know that I have not been completely innocent, or Christian like, in my replies to those posts. I am somewhat at fault for the recent issues. I have contacted Craigslist many times about this but they have done nothing. All you get is an automatic, generic reply. I believe these people know where I live and I fear for my safety, and that of my family. They have been posting the following about me. Tracked down things I have posted elsewhere on the internet, made rude comments about them, and then posted links to these places. Made threats. Insults, calling me names, etc. Badmouthing my business and my mother. Posted personal information about my business. Stole pics from my web site and posted them. Made very disturbing comments about me in a public forum. They use my real name. There have been 11 fake ads using my phone number posted. I have contacted them, but a few hours later there's another one. Etc. Bottom line is that Craigslist is allowing this, and providing a place for people to stalk others. I have copies of all comments.

I have been trying to sell or trade my truck on craigslist. They remove my ad because I live in Colorado and I am listing in Wyoming. Colorado people think their dogs *** piles of gold and I don't want to deal with Coloradans. Wyoming People have better prices, They are friendlier people and understand that this country is in a recession. Why Craigslist wont let me list in another state, is beyond me. I thought we lived in the "United States of America" Land of the FREE! But Communists like Craigslist want to change that I guess! I'm going to have to find another want ad listing website I guess!

This scam is posted frequently on Craigslist you will see many of these ads and they look legit they will say things such as we are looking for Customer Service Operators. This is supposedly an online work at home job but all of it is a lie. All they want is someone to post their ads and free labor. Here is how to tell the scheme. You will be interviewed by a man with very bad broken English and the common sense of a potato. If you sadly pass this interview he asks if you would post an ad for him and that's the start.He will tell you that he will give you a check to pay for the imaginary modem and a i phone that his company best computers usa will provide for you in order to work for him. Getting to my point when he sends the check its a piece of *** and occurs a chargeback which will cost you money on your end. The chargeback was signed on their end.Overall instead of promising a job all these people did was cost me money. Lastly here is how to spot this scam when you answer their Craigslist ad you will receive a reply from davecoxbusinesscanada@***.com. The email will ask you to download yahoo messenger and to add a clown called morganchasereps@***.com. Don't waste your time they are up to no good and they have no job for you.They just want free labor so shut these evil lying clowns down .don't help them get free labor and don't let them waste your time and money.

this is s a scam..once you get in..you willl get on a subsribers list..listed under craigslist..you wil endless offers from scam companies. You will not be able to stop it becasue they will continue to send you emails from personal accounts. its difficult to stop this scam. I have NO idea why we have to write 100 words. Its is impossible to add anything else.. This site is uspoposed to be able to report scams.. If you dont wirte 100 owrds they will not let it through. SO here is my 100000****00 words that I gave

I cannot post anything for sale on Craigslist, because they require phone authorization here in KY (but not in CT?), and they do not accept my voice-over-internet phone number or my pre-paid cell phone number. WTF!!! If you contact their customer service via e-mail, they just send you the usual canned statement. It appears that at one time you could call them at 800-664-****, and they would manually enter your number. But not now. I see that Google may be buying Craigslist. I hope so. Then they could improve their system and their service.

I tried to several times to post an ad. CL said I need a phone authorization number. They sent me the code but when I typed it in, they said it was incorrect. I tried several times with no success. They sent me another code and it was the same deal. I sent in for help and they sent me to a generic trouble shooting page. Their customer support sucks!!! This man sells cars on Craig's list Dallas/Ft worth. I bought a nice looking car. It seamed fine until I had to fix the engine mount that was poorly repaired by drilling through it and adding a longer thin bolt. The engine began to sag when the one good bolt broke. While making the repair, I looked at the frame from the bottom and saw how it had be welded together in a major way. Since then, it goes out of alignment every 3 months and the bent frame causes makes it so that it can never be aligned completely. Mr. Martinez hides the problems well and sells patched up cars for top dollar, the blue book value for a good car, but they are not even fair.

CRAIGSLIST IS THE PITS, SOME ONE HAS BEEN HARASSING/STOCKING ON THEIR SITE FOR 3 MONTHS AND AFTER NUMERIOUS COMPLAINTS TO THE CL LEGAL DEPT. THEY STILL HAVE DONE 0. HOW CAN THEY JUST SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING. ARE THEY GOING TO WAIT UNTIL SOME THING HAPPENS TO ME. I GUESS THEY ARE SO BIG WHAT'S ONE LESS PERSON TO COMPLAIN. THEY NEED TO BEEF UP THEIR STAFF TO ANSWER THIS TYPE OF COMPLAINT AND TO TAKE ACTION BEFORE ITS TO LATE. I WISH THERE WAS ANOTHER SITE I CAN ADVERTISE MY SERVICES. MAYBE IF MORE PEOPLE COMPLAINED TO THE MEDIA

Always have problems : 1. Can never find post once it is posted. 2. Whenever you have a problem with something and submit a complaint...you get an automated message which tells nothing except to sent another message and on and on and on... 3. They show you a list of things not allowed on site...and then allow people to post fake photos of themselves and other people and things ..telephone numbers...and allow you to post others' email addresses and names... and they give you no way to correct these things from happening... and they give you no way to talk to a real person

I am in the same situation as the other complaint I read.. my computer didn't allow me to post a comment so I just wanted to put this out there. I am looking for a nice home that I can afford (im a student). I recieved an email back from one of the ads I emailed from craigslist today and they want a credit report and wouldnt give me the town the houe is located in. I recieved the same email except it was signed from Otto as opposed to Craig. I am so grateful that I checked the reviews on this creditreport.com website. Thank you everybody!!
