No flagging!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My ads in the pet section keep getting flagged. There isnt anything different in my ads than anyone elses.

I dont think there should be a flagging option on this so any Tom, *** or Harry can randomly flag or remove someones ad! This parents good dogs from getting a home!!!

Account

Dear Sir or Madam, I am unable to access my account or post any comments on Craigslist. When I try to access my account, I get a message that says I need to verify the account.

I've tried to verify my account through email, but I am unable to verify my account this way. Am I being blocked from Craigslist?

Can you help?

Thank you,

Got my question answered.

Online, it says I only have to pay once for posting in multiple areas, but it's asking me for another $5 when I try to add a new location. Bummer.

Flagging Abuse

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Original review updated Mar 23, 2025

Despite following Craigslist terms and conditions, my ad is flagged for removal within a 1/2 hour. This is transpiring as a result of the undeserving power given to the general public to flag their competitors ad by claiming a violation that does not exist.

Given that Craigslist is the go to platform for finding and rehoming pets it would be favorable to take away the option to flag ads without a review to confirm a violation. I recognize that would take manpower which can be remedied by charging to post ads for pets.

Pros:
  • Pros are that craigslist is recognized by a lot of people thereby

Preferred solution: I would like you to take away the opportunity for people to remove their competitors ads by removing their option to flag ads

No Help When Needed!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been posting on Craigslist for several years, and all went well then. I was happy, and had good results, but a few days ago when I tried to post, it said that I needed to supply my phone number, but when I did, it wasn't accepted, and there was nothing I could do, and I was unable to post!

I felt helpless and very upset that I couldn't talk to a customer service person to straighten out that mess.

Craigslist needs to do better than that. It really makes the company look bad for not caring about those that use their website.

I was planning to put some of my books and artwork on there to sell, but since I'm not able to post now, I'll have to go elsewhere.

If and when Craigslist cleans up its act, I'll be back.

At the bottom of the home page are five links, left to right. You want “about”.

Then on that page, you want “contact form” to send them an email. BTW, they do require a valid phone. They will text that phone a code for you to enter.

So cell phone with text required, no VOIP or location blocking software. If your number has been previously blocked by them, invalid will come up.

Targeting my posts for removal for NO REASON!!!!

I see puppies on Craigslist all the time yet when I try to post my pups that happened due to an accidental pregnancy from my dog getting pregnant from a stray I can't I had them posted for 10 to 15 days before having to tell someone they couldn't have one of the puppies as they were not going to be a good fit however the same exact day all of my posts magically started being flagged for removal. I have emailed Craigslist and they have done nothing to help me it's ridiculous how one childish person can ruin these pups chances of getting a home and it's even more ridiculous that Craigslist doesn't see what's happening and stop it to be frank I can currently see puppies posted for sale right now for $600 twice the price of what I am asking for the one puppy we have left who seems like he won't be getting a home now because Craigslist is harassing my posts and removing them for literally no reason I'm not a breeder I'm not breaking any rules I'm just trying to give this poor baby a good home.

SHAME ON YOU CRAIGSLIST!!! YOU SHOULD BE DOING YOUR DUE DILIGENCE LOOKING INTO THESE FALSE FLAGS!!! The fact that I have used Craigslist for years but the one time I actually try to use it for selling instead of buying I'm not allowed to that seems fair.

Do yourself a favor and find a different app because Craigslist is garbage their tech support even more garbage which makes me think the people who work for Craigslist are incompetent and lack many brain cells. Pictures will be proof my post has been removed even after having to make a new Craigslist account to try again not even up 10 minutes before it got flagged ridiculous yet the second picture is of puppies for sale for $600 they've been up for over a week and they seem to have no problem keeping their ad up!

Cons:
  • Absent tech support who absolutely does nothing
  • Does not have a proper flagging system as it removes perfectly fine posts
  • This company does not offer any actual availability to get a hold of someone when you have a problem

Preferred solution: I have now lost around $100 in care costs over this pup not getting a home due to them removing my post! I want an apology and my post to be put back up and fixed as there's nothing wrong with it!

User's recommendation: Find a different app that has actual customer service because Craigslist is garbage and will do nothing to help you lazy people and lazy company!

Concern About My Posts Being Removed

Craigslist - Concern About My Posts Being Removed - Image 2

Dear Craigslist Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concern regarding the repeated removal of my posts, which I believe are fully compliant with your community guidelines.

My posts primarily focus on seeking job opportunities or offering assistance to others, and I ensure that all content aligns with your rules and standards. Despite this, they have been flagged and taken down without any clear explanation.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could review my account and provide clarity on why these posts are being removed. If there are any adjustments needed to make them more compliant, I am more than willing to make the necessary changes.

Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response and guidance on how to resolve this matter.
