Verified Reviewer |Because I tried to post a legitimate ad and they keep on removing it
- - Craigslist is accused of hiding bad reviews, enabling scammers, and eroding trust, with ad deletions and rehoming a puppy cited.
Craigslist is a total embarrassment. I watched this brand create a bunch of good people in California look at their reviews.
I don't think I can find a company with that low of a review. In the zero bracket, they have zero character; they won't even address their bad reviews. They're hiding that zero character; they're a scammer's heaven. Look at the photo I posted; this is a puppy I have.
I've discovered I have cancer, and I'm trying to rehome it properly, and I keep on deleting my ad. Why would anybody want to do business with them? Why would anybody even look at their website? It has a zero review; I mean, come on, do you really think you're not gonna get cheated?
They're protecting scammers.
They are allowing competitors to take down ads. Well, they are a really messed up company with zero character.
- 100 million
Preferred solution: What type of an apology can a company give you that has a zero brackets this company only supports scammers look at their reviews people they speak bounds
User's recommendation: Just look at their reviews I don’t think anything else needs to be sad

Verified ReviewerScams Durango co rentals 3 this week alone. Craig’s list is not functional anymore
- - Rental scams in Bayfield and Durango use identical messages.
- - Texts are persistent and push to sign up, with a $1200 Durango rental example.
Scam bayfield rental, scam Durango house, scam Durango rental apt. All text, no conservation.
I started the background process they all have the same conservation after I realized its all the same scam. One example Im also getting mutipal text. Im trying to past the one guy in a tunnel that was a $1200 month rent for a Durango rental.
He and the other are so persistent all the same language, aggressive to sign up.. where do I send their info?!?!?
User's recommendation: Don’t bother Craig’s list has gone to trash scams.i took screen shots of the rentals excited they do not even exist for me to put up a pic im my photos. Stay away from Craig’s list. They’re no longer legit.

Verified Reviewer |Someone continually flagged my posts...
Someone continually flagged my posts for no reason. I have puppies to re-home. No rules were violated.
- Large number of viewers
- Quick access to make items available
- Craigslist seemingly does nothing to prevent flagging harassment
Preferred solution: Individuals banned that maliciously flag posts, for instance - to reduce available pups, items, etc to increase sales
User's recommendation: Craig's list is convenient way to make things available

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: I just notified the company yesterday..Someone used Craigslist to post and sell a car under false advertisement. Odometer and description total lie
- - Odometer was wrong after purchase.
- - Blue 2006 Camry listing matched a 2003 car.
- - The seller stopped responding by phone.
I blame Darren James.
I realized after the purchase of the car that the odometer was wrong. I shouldn't have gone by myself to purchase it.
He disconnected his phone. It had the same description as a listed blue 2006 Toyota Camry, except it's a 2003. They are stacked on top of each other. It took me another minute to realize that I wasn't crazy.
Two cars that look exactly the same, described the same—watch out.
And if you are a person easily overwhelmed with life at that time in your life, don't make purchases or discussions like this by yourself. You must be clear-headed.
- Dishonest people
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Be very aware

Verified Reviewer |Fraudulent ad for apartment
- - Complaint submitted via form; no rep contact.
- - I could not attach the ad.
- - Ad was a scam; price was over $4000, not $950.
I submitted it now on the complaint form.I did not connect with the customer rep.I wasn't able to attach the fraudulent ad but I was able to here it is below. I realized it was a scam because I Googled the address in the ad and the actual apartment had different picture, the building was different from ad and the price wasn't $950! It was over $4000.
User's recommendation: Scrutinize apartment ads. Watch for scams. If it sounds too good to be true, it's a scan. Report it! I did ustnow!

Verified Reviewer |Unfair removal of legitimate posts
DO NOT USE CRAIGSLIST! The automated filter systems CONSTANTLY remove genuine posts that did not violate the Terms of Use.
Craigslist is a SCAM and a WASTE!, and moving forward I will utilize more reliable platforms. Craigslist would do better if posts were manually evaluated and removed if there's a violation, NOT an automated bot doing it!
- Unfair automated removal of genuine posts that follow the terms of use
User's recommendation: DO NOT USE CRAIGSLIST, that's my advice out of personal experience!

Verified Reviewer |Talk to a person
- - Site redirects to a new page, forcing the problem to repeat.
- - A scammer posing as a mobile mechanic on Craigslist stole a $10k vehicle; no reply.
Your system makes you leave the page, and when you return, it's a different page and cannot make the call without repeating the problem. Anyway, someone masquerading as a mobile mechanic on CL stole my $10,000 vehicle.
I emailed CL twice and received no response.
I get it; they don't give a *** It's not THEIR 10 grand. Still, they could warn others or maybe catch the *** even...
Preferred solution: Get my stolen goods back and thief arrested
User's recommendation: Don't deal with CL.

They allow $5 to $20 for a re-homing fee. It sounds like you are more concerned about that $50.
